www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=24532&title=SHOTGUN%20BIG%20DOT%20TRITIUM%20FRONT%20SIGHT knightvision 5/27/2008 11:19:20 PM sorry, didnt come back to the post to see this. but looking at that it still looks like it would be too low to get down on quickly. either way, doesnt look like it would solve the issue i am having. F22_RaptoR 5/28/2008 3:50:02 AM I think the Mesa stock tube adaptor was made for using Ghost ring and other raised sights. Unless you have a higher cheek bone (like me) then using the bead may be unpossible, unfortunatly. I dont have one of these FYI. Gungho_1989 5/28/2008 9:23:49 AM I would look at a set of ghost rings again maybe they will fit the bill. I dont believe the XS sights would cure the problem though. knightvision 7/21/2008 9:24:01 PM havent been back here in awhile. im actually gonna try a speedfeed stock to see how i like that. im hoping someone wants to switch from the speedfeed to Mesa Tactical adapter so i listed it up for trade. MAX100 7/21/2008 10:19:47 PM I had the same problem with the Mesa Low tube stock adapter. It didn’t work well with either bead sight or with receiver mounted GRS. The recoil was brutal also so I sold it. I now have a Arms Tech stock adapter that has enough stock drop for both and I am very pleased. Recoil with it is the same as a regular stock. The Mesa low tube stock adapter is well made and looks nice but it doesn’t work it is not a good product. GC knightvision 7/21/2008 10:29:27 PM hmmm, i like the idea of the product so maybe i will check the arms tech adapter. i would be curious to see the products side by side. ETA: just checked the product. i think i may try that adapter. MAX100 7/21/2008 10:50:37 PM Here is the Arms Tech on one of my many shotguns. I reinforce the inside with a large washer that I took down the diameter. The large washer gives good metal to metal contact with the screw and lock washer. I used a larger washer in the pistol grip also. The CAA stock saddle gives a good cheek weld. The Tapco SAW grips has enough storage to fit two rounds. I have a SOG Viking rubber pad on the stock which is excellent quality for the money. The shotgun is a Norinco 982 with GRS. The AT adapter has held up well with no problems after about 1000 rounds. It is tough and well made.

Anyone ever heard of BROWE Optics? It sure is pricey. Just wonder if anyone has experience with them and how do they compare to ACOGs? http://www.BROWE -inc.com/categories/BROWE -Combat-Optic-%28BCO%29/ ROCRESQ 4/22/2011 4:29:49 Never heard of them but they do look decent, … Continue reading

Now all bitching aside, it is a neat rifle and I will probably spend the $$$ and get it right, both trigger and a lower scope mount. That said, say I had bought a good M1A today,(as in all GI parts), added scope mounts and smith work to make it function properly, I could easily have close to 3 FAL’s!

Other than that – I’m very thankful Trijicon made this scope. It’s a perfect blend of precision and speed. It’s eye relief, size, and FOV make for a fast & compact general purpose optic. For 10-300 yard shooting, this is in my opinion, the perfect ACOG. For shooting under 10 yards, it seems like it’d serve me well – I may toss some Bulter Creek Flip Caps on this one for an occluded option since the construction will allow for it! Plus, the caps will make the Trijicon ACOG Scope Coat a thing of the past.

Something always kept me from hanging onto an ACOG. I feel the TA33R8 was made just for me!

There really isn’t a bad SKS Rifle Stocks unless dome dumb hick dragged it through the TAPCO catalog. They are fun guns to shoot. Every gun owner should have one.

$295 is pretty fair in today’s market for a norinco. You can find them for slightly less, but it will take lots of time and persistence to save $30-$50.
